Sun Cellular was a mobile brand operated by Digital Telecommunications Philippines, later acquired by PLDT and folded into Smart. Its prepaid and postpaid services now run on the Smart network, so Sun numbers carry the same nationwide reach.

Sun subscribers still use their own SIMs and a set of familiar promo names — like the TU50 combo packages — but the service essentially sits on Smart's infrastructure. The legacy suncellular.com.ph site now redirects to Smart, and customer support is handled by Smart.

Sun prepaid promos

Sun's prepaid promos combine all-net calls, texts and data for a fixed validity period. Common bundle names include:

  • TU50 / CTU50 — combo bundles pairing calls, texts and data for a set validity window.
  • SS99 / SS30 — surf-and-share style data offers in different sizes and price points.
  • Straight load — plain credit the recipient can spend on calls, SMS, or any active Sun promo.
