Vodafone Romania in numbers
Vodafone Romania is one of the country's three large mobile operators and held around 23 per cent of revenue share in 2025. With the acquisition of Telekom's mobile business, it has grown considerably since 2026.
What happened to the Telekom customers
In October 2025 Vodafone took over the contract customers of Telekom Romania Mobile; the legal merger was completed on 30 June 2026. Anyone who held a Telekom contract in Romania is therefore a Vodafone customer today. Prepaid customers moved to Digi instead. If you used to top up a Telekom number, ask the recipient which operator their number belongs to now.
Checking the balance and choosing packages
Once the credit has arrived, it's up to the recipient what to do with it — check the balance, buy a data package or use it for calls. Those settings live with the operator, not with us.
